Elaine Erne

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA, Elaine came to Philadelphia to receive her MFA from Tyler School of Art. She has had numerous solo exhibitions of her prints and graphite pencil drawings including shows at Rowan University, Abington Art Center, BahdeeBahdu, Nexus, Foundation for Today’s Arts, and a Wind Challenge Exhibition at Fleisher. Her work has been exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Maryland Federation of Art, Brooklyn Art Library, and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art. She was a recipient of a Career Development Fellowship from the Center for Emerging Visual Artists, a residency at Pilchcuk Glass School, and a Community Partnership in the Arts residency through Fleisher. Elaine has written two lab manuals, “Kiln-fired Glass: the Basics for a Beginner” (2001) and “Basic Stone and Plate Lithography: Lab Manual for the First Time Lithographer” (2004). She is a faculty member at Moore College of Art and Design and a co-founder of Star Wheel Printers.
