Johanna Marshall

Johanna Marshall has been teaching fiber arts to children and adults for over 12 years. She holds a Master of Art Education from Tyler School of Art and studied natural dyeing at Penland School of Crafts. Her body of research encompasses the knitting practices of isolated communities, and the methods of transmission of traditional techniques, while her own work incorporates idiosyncratic daily experience through repetition and pattern, stitching into photographs and embroidery on paper.
