In 1993, I received my Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, concentrating on painting. This followed graduate study with Professor Robert DaRista at Boston University School of Fine Arts where I had received my BFA with a concentration in painting and a minor in sculpture.
I have over a decade of experience teaching life drawing and have exhibited and won several prizes over the years. My teaching style has been described as “energetic, individualized, and thoroughly engaging.” My classes are structured to include brief lectures with master artist examples, helpful demonstrations, and ample studio time. I supply customized still lifes and model setups designed specifically for each lesson. My students – from novices to advanced – are consistently amazed by their newly acquired or freshly honed skills and progress.
