Fall 2010 Workshops for Parents

These workshops, specifically offered to parents of children in the Saturday Young People's Program, run concurrent with the children's classes. This gives parents the opportunity to explore their own creative potential.
Please note: In order to attend these workshops, you must have a child enrolled in Saturday classes for the Fall 2010 semester. If spaces remain following the Saturday lottery process, we will open registration to people who do not have children enrolled in the program.
Workshops that have not received the minimum number of required enrollments by August 27th will be cancelled. Registrations for workshops that have received minimum enrollment will continue to be accepted after August 27th. Fleisher workshops fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.

This class provides an introduction to using a manual 35mm camera. In addition to learning how to manipulate the camera's settings for greater control, students learn how to develop, print, and manipulate black-and-white images in a darkroom. No prior experience necessary. Class size limited to 12 students. Tuition: $75, plus $35 lab fee for chemicals and equipment

Take some time for yourself! Explore your thoughts, ideas and imagination in a small group setting. This workshop will introduce parents to different techniques, mediums, and inspiration with watercolor, sketch, collage, writing and reflection culminating into their own personal visual journal. No artistic experience required, all levels are welcome. Class size limited to 10 students. Tuition: $75, plus $35 lab fee
