Virtual Awards Ceremony: Friday, January 19

For 125 years, the Annual Adult Student Exhibition has celebrated the vibrant artwork created by Fleisher’s students. The exhibition provides students with the opportunity to show their work in a public gallery, with cash prizes awarded to students in a wide spectrum of mediums including fiber arts, drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, and photography.

Please join us on Zoom for a virtual awards ceremony on Friday, January 19 at 6 pm, and in our galleries on January 26 from 6–8 pm to celebrate the beautiful range of work created by our students over the course of 2023.

Do I need to be a Fleisher member to participate in the student exhibition?
No, membership is no longer required to participate in the exhibition. All exhibition participants must have been students at Fleisher during Winter 2023–Fall 2023 terms.

When should I deliver my artwork?
From November 13 to November 21 during our open hours. Please call or check here for hours of operation. Please note: Fleisher will close at 5pm on Tuesday, November 21.

How many pieces can I submit?
Only 1 piece per student, please. Due to the limited space in our gallery, we ask you to bring your one masterpiece.

What if I need help locating information about my past class(es)?
Please call our Visitor Services staff at 215-922-3456 and they can assist you or email info@fleisher.org with the request.

What if I am having technical difficulties filling out the application?
Hard copies will be available at the front desk in Fleisher’s lobby. Please print clearly so we can enter all your information correctly.

I can’t upload images or don’t feel comfortable taking a picture of my work.
Cell phone pictures work but if you are having trouble with this part of the application, we are here for you. This is not a mandatory option but one that helps us identify and label your work.

Are there size limitations?
36” inches in any dimension (including frame).

Should my artwork be ready to hang?
Yes. This doesn’t mean that it needs to be framed but there needs to be a way for us to display your work properly without causing damage. Works on paper without frames will be hung using magnets. For digital artworks, your instructor will collect the work for you to be displayed on our gallery screen.

How do we know which piece is your artwork?
Please kindly label your artwork with your full name. Every artwork should have a label, or a name attached to the back.
