Digital Photography: The Camera (Afternoon)
During a variety of fun photographic sessions, you will gain a confident, working knowledge of the digital camera. Field trips and photo exercises will give you the “depth-of-field-ability” to create the desired dramatic effects in your photos.
You will master the digital camera through in class exercises including low light photography, writing with light, and effective use of motion. A special night-time field trip, and “safari” walks in the Italian Market are designed to secure your mastery of the digital camera. Together we will learn about lenses, tripods, camera types/modes, and enhancing lighting options. Weekly photo challenge assignments keep your learning fresh.
All kinds of digital cameras are welcome: compact point-and-shoot, the new mirrorless cameras, and SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras. Tripods are not required, but welcomed. The studio fee includes the use of our digital studio, and one digital print. Additional printing cards are available for purchase in the Fleisher school store.
