Forgotten Innovators of 20th Century Animation
This course will explore the work of prominent animators world-wide, who though struggling commercially, produced work that has proven influential to subsequent generations. We’ll concentrate on cell/hand-drawn animation, discussing how technology and the changing decades shaped the art. We’ll look at the shifting perspectives and techniques adopted through these artists’ careers and examine how they approached both animated features and shorts.
