Notan: Papercutting Meets Zentangle® (three-session workshop)

Notan is a Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of light and dark elements as they are placed next to the other in the composition of art and imagery. This art form celebrates the beauty of the positive and negative. The Yin and Yang symbol is an example of this mirror image… one black and one white. Inspired by Notan, we will expand this traditional art form that always involved papercutting and now will include Zentangle.

Prerequesite: please take Introduction to Zentangle. No papercutting experience needed.
