Terracotta Figure Sculpture
Explore the Terracotta technique (creation of a figure without an armature) for seated and reclining poses. This is a spontaneous process where qualities and textures can be captured without casting. Students will work with fresh clay on 12” x 20”- ¾” plywood boards and pieces can be up to 22” in height. Pieces will be fired. A clay card can be purchased at the school store for $20 per bag of new clay.
