Sally Linnett

Sally approaches her role in the classroom as if learning itself is the medium to be artfully composed. Within the space of the medium, students are invited to refine their practice from the key points of focusing observational skills and deepening a student’s level of self-familiarity to further grow their artistic satisfaction.

With ten years of video-making experience in both creative and commercial outlets, Sally’s motion-based practice has included working with digital video, 16mm film, direct animation, and digital animation. Her education includes areas of media and cultural studies along with extensions into writing, language, poetics, and critical thinking. Topical interests seen in Sally’s work are centered around interpreting labor and the human body, considering perceptual limits and their implications, and exploring the textural qualities that can be represented through time and motion.
