Stephen Layne

Stephen Layne graduated from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1994. He is a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society and was commissioned to create the Joe Frazier Memorial for The City of Philadelphia, unveiled 2015. Over the past 25 years, Stephen has exhibited his clay, bronze, and wood sculpture in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. A guest lecturer for PAFA and the National Sculpture Society, Stephen’s work has been publicized in Sculpture Review Magazine, Comcast Sportsnet, HBO, NPR and The Philadelphia Inquirer. His past teaching appointments include PAFA, UARTS, and Moore College of Art and Design. Stephen began his art education as a teenager at Fleisher in the mid 1980s and is very much looking forward to returning to work with Fleisher’s students.
