DESCRIPTION:Join South Philly Time Capsule’s Sue Liedke for a mushroom-inspired MomMom Craft Night! Get inspired by classic 1970s Merry Mushroom ceramics before creating your very own mushroomy work of art. For each registration\, participants will receive a preselected bisque-fired mushroom vessel\, cast from vintage molds. This workshop will feature a choice of either a cream and sugar set or butter dish. Selections will be made on arrival. We’ll spend the evening decorating your choice using a variety of glazes. Following the workshop\, we’ll fire your work and it will be ready for pick up at Fleisher in two weeks. This is an all ages program. All supplies are provided and no art-making experience is required. \nMomMom Craft Night is an ongoing program series curated by Sue Liedke that celebrates nostalgic kitschy crafts from a bygone era. Designed for makers and novices alike\, these informal gatherings are designed to bring the neighborhood together. Sue curates South Philly Time Capsule which celebrates the vintage interiors of South Philly.

Are you experienced with darkroom photography\, but looking for a new challenge? Join Fleisher faculty Ahmed Salvador for this one-day workshop. \nBeginners will learn all the basic skills including how to operate a 35mm camera settings for greater control\, how to develop black-and-white film and print from negatives\, and how to print and manipulate black-and-white images in the darkroom. \nStudents with more experience will work alongside the instructor to finesse their prints with knowledge of printing techniques such as dodging and burning\, using contrast filters\, etc.

DESCRIPTION:Hey families\, roll up your sleeves and join us for a Fleisher family workshop! Experiment with exciting techniques to create your one-of-a-kind designs that capture your unique swagger! Participants will create designs and screenprint them onto fabric. All attendees must register and supplies are provided. No art making experience required. \nFamily workshops are designed for families\, grown-ups\, and kids to make art together. Best for children 5 and up.

SUMMARY:12 Hour Photo: Color Darkroom Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Did you ever wish you’d learned to develop and print color film and photographs in the darkroom\, but just never had the time? Are you experienced with color darkroom photography\, but looking for a new challenge? Join Fleisher faculty Ahmed Salvador for this workshop. There are no prerequisites for this offering\, which is open to students at all levels. \nBeginners will learn all the basic skills including how to operate a 35mm camera settings for greater control\, how to develop color film and print from negatives\, and how to print and manipulate color images in the darkroom. \nStudents with more experience will work alongside the instructor to finesse their color prints with knowledge of printing techniques such as dodging and burning\, using contrast filters\, etc.
