Fleisher From a Distance: Shibori Dyeing Demonstration

Fleisher teaching artist Marie Elcin likes to create her own dyed fabric for use in embroidered artworks. Join her for this webinar to see a variety of simple shibori folds to create dynamic multicolored fabric effects using low-immersion dye techniques.

Marie has been teaching in both the children and adult programs at Fleisher for over seven years. She has a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design and a Master of Art Education from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. She is a practicing fiber artist with a passion for pattern and printmaking.

This demonstration is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. Advanced registration is required. The tour will be hosted through Zoom, which can be accessed on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app to your device in advance. You will receive a URL to join the demonstration after you complete the registration process.
