SUMMARY:Pop Arts: Matchbox Books (grades 9-12)
DESCRIPTION:We will be making tiny books that fit inside of a matchbox or a book of matches. You will learn some basic bookbinding skills\, as well as how to make your own secret hidden books. \nInstructor: Alison Dilworth \nRequired supplies:\nA matchbox or book of matches (with the matches removed)\nNeedle\nThread (any color)\nPushpin (for making holes in book structure)\nBlank paper: any decorative paper you might have (the patterned insides of envelopes work great for this)\nA piece of cardboard\nGlue stick\nPencil\nAny art supplies you already have for decorating \nPop Arts are Fleisher’s new online Saturday workshops\, featuring fun and engaging art-making experiences for young artists in grades K-12. Carefully designed by our talented teaching artists\, each Pop Arts workshop runs for 90 minutes. Young artists and their families are encouraged to sign up for as many workshops as they want! Each workshop is offered with a suggested donation of $10-$15. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Pop Arts will be hosted on Zoom\, and you will receive a link to join once you complete your registration.
