SUMMARY:Workshop: Machine Sewing: Witch & Wizard Hats
DESCRIPTION:In this fun 2-session workshop participants will create their own custom witch or wizard hat on the sewing machine\, just in time for Halloween! Along the way students will build foundational garment-sewing skills such as following a pattern\, sewing seams\, and stitching curved shapes. Perfect for adventurous beginners and anyone looking for a creative new machine sewing project. \nParticipants should have taken Machine Sewing at Fleisher\, or have some machine sewing experience. Please contact adulteducation@fleisher.org with questions. \nWhat You Will Learn:\n– How to follow and assemble a sewing pattern\n– Sewing curved seams and structured shapes\n– Basic sewing techniques used in garment construction\n– How to attach bias tape\n– How to attach fusible interfacing to create shape and stability\n– How to trip clip and turn curved edges
