Abstracting the Figure (five-session workshop)

In this five-week figurative class, students will be challenged to think of the figure in terms of simple interlocking forms and shapes to create powerful design-compositions. The aim will be to create dozens of quickly finished sketches each session in order to build strong picture-making habits with immediate results. Open to any medium, this class will meet the needs of creating bold figurative abstractions with the human form as a pretext.
