An Illustrator’s Eye: Seeing, Thinking, and Painting (9th-12th grade)

How do you see the world around you? How can you translate inner visions to communicate visually? Learn how to control watercolor paint to illustrate for a variety of purposes.

This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class. You will receive a link to join the Zoom meeting via email once registration is complete. Please use the same link each week.

Required supplies:

  • 9×12 Canson watercolor pad (hot or cold press)

  • Set of watercolor paints (16 pan colors preferred)

  • Watercolor brush (#6 or #8 round preferred)

  • Fine line black sharpie

  • Pencils

  • Erasers

  • Colored pencils or watercolor pencils

  • Option: hair dryer
