Art Quilt (five-session workshop)
It’s time to bust out that stash of fabric and thread, and make something beautiful with it! In this five-day intensive workshop you will have a chance to work through the design process to develop a small work of fiber art. You will learn a few ways to alter your fabrics through dye and print, develop an image to piece or applique, and explore machine and hand-sewn quilting and embroidery techniques to add dimension, mark, and texture. Finally, you will learn several techniques for binding and displaying your art quilt. You may bring your own portable sewing machine or share time on ours. Some familiarity with sewing and embroidery is recommended but not required.
