Ceramics: Large Handbuilt Vessels (one-day immersive workshop)

Are you interested in exploring ways to increase the scale of your work, and discovering techniques that encourage you to build more quickly and spontaneously with clay? In this one-day immersive workshop, a variety of approaches will be introduced to enable your experimentation. Some of the questions we will explore together, include: How can I “sketch” in the air with clay? What are new attitudes that I can have toward the physicality of my work, such as building initial rough drafts in space, realizing parts of my work rapidly and freely, and exploring new ways to improvise with clay that allow the unexpected to come forward and inspire new directions? This fast-paced workshop is designed to have you creating beyond what your mind can think — allowing your hands and body to be the captain of your creative ship!
