Children’s Book Illustration (five-session immersive workshop)

Do you love children’s books? Here is your chance to explore the possibilities of the medium. This workshop will provide a step by step process to learn how to compose an illustrated children’s book. You will begin with an inspiration, e.g. a story, poem, song or any other idea appropriate for a children’s book. The aim of this online workshop is to gain the technical skill and knowledge required to complete a cover, a splash and a spread. Students are encouraged to work with any medium for their project. The first hour of the class will be spent on demonstrations by the instructor and the second hour students will have a chance to work independently and share their work in progress with the instructor and the class.

Students are encouraged to have examples of any children book or illustration they are inspired by.
