Children’s Book Illustration
Do you love children’s books? Here is your chance to explore the possibilities of the medium. This workshop will provide a step by step process to learn how to compose an illustrated children’s book. You will begin with an inspiration, e.g. a story, poem, song or any other idea appropriate for a children’s book. The inspiration can either be original or collected. The aim of the course is to gain the technical skill and knowledge required to complete a cover, a splash and a spread. Students are encouraged to work with any medium for their project. Students should bring their drawing and painting samples to the class at the beginning of the course.
This is an online class hosted through Zoom. We recommend that you download the free Zoom application on your computer, phone, or tablet in advance of the first class. Within 48 hours of registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to join the course via Zoom. The same link will be used each week.
