Creative Labs: 3rd-5th Grade Storytelling (Thursday)
Creative Labs offers young people in kindergarten through fifth grade a safe, inclusive after-school program that uses all forms of art to encourage retention of their creativity and critical thinking. Using visual art, movement, puppetry, and creative writing, Creative Labs becomes a space where young artists can start to ask and answer questions about who they are and how they want to define themselves.
Through fictional and non-fictional storytelling, poetry and personal narratives, students will combine writing and illustration to nurture their imaginations and express themselves, telling their stories through words and art.
Students can arrive any time after 3:00 p.m., where they will spend one hour of homework and snack (included with tuition) time. Classes will run from 4:00-5:30 p.m., with after care provided until 6:00 p.m.
