Creative Writing (online)

A class to examine aspects of voice: the elusive connection between speaker and reader that animates a poem. We will generate new work in response to close readings of masters including Lucille Clifton, Jack Gilbert, James Schuyler, Jericho Brown, Ocean Vuong, Eavan Boland Weekly assignments and prompts.

Recommended for craft discussions: The Art of Voice: Poetic Principles and Practice by Tony Hoagland. (Copies available: Free Library.)
