Expressive Arts Healing (tuition-free, five-session workshop)

Following the “person-centered” approach to therapy developed by Dr. Carl Rogers and later enhanced with creative expression by his daughter, Dr. Natalie Rogers, certified facilitator, Shanina Dionna, will guide healing sessions that explore mindfulness, empathic understanding, congruency and unconditional positive regard. Sessions generally include meditation, breathwork, intention setting, art making, dance/movement offerings and person-sharing.

Special Notes

This is an in-person class which will take place onsite at Fleisher. Please review our COVID-19 community safety policies for current guidelines.

Required Supplies:

  • Water (for drinking/hydration after “movement offerings”)

  • Something to create on & with (simple art making materials will suffice. i.e. magazine scraps for collages, glue, crayons, markers, scissors, clay, paint, paint brushes, canvas, paper, yarn, photographs, etc.)

  • Journal (optional)

  • Comfortable clothing to move around
