We will be modeling clay figures from a live model. All poses will be standing. There will be four successive poses: a one week, a two week, a three week, and a four week pose. You will need an armature to do a standing figure. If you wish to keep work that is done on an armature you will need to cast it (cannot be fired). If you wish to work with torsos you may use a board with a pole, and fire the results. If you wish to do abstract work, that’s fine. As always, you can do whatever you want—this is an art class—everybody is welcome and beginners are encouraged!
Participants must have a valid Fleisher membership. Please note that our tuition-free classes for adults fill very quickly. If you are considering purchasing a membership in order to register for a tuition-free class, please click “register” to check whether or not the class is full prior to your purchase.
Studio clay is provided as part of your studio fee, or if you purchase new clay it includes firing and glaze fees
