Terracotta Figure Sculpture
Explore the Terracotta technique (creation of a figure without an armature) for seated and reclining poses. This is a spontaneous process where qualities and textures can be captured without casting. Students will work with fresh clay on 12 x 20 x ¾-inch plywood boards and pieces can be up to 22 inches in height. Pieces will be fired.
