Image Editing: Lightroom and Photoshop Crash Course (five-session workshop)

In this interactive course, students will understand the post-production process of image editing. Students will immerse themselves in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to confidently learn the operations of each program. Every class session will begin with an instructor demoed assignment, followed by class practice to master each learned technique. This course is great for beginners but can accommodate students of all levels. Computer proficiency required.

What you will learn:

  • How to edit and interpret images through: Adobe Lightroom (image sorting, image organization, catalogs, develop module, print module); Adobe Photoshop (histogram, adjustment layers, masking/selections, airbrushing); Camera RAW

  • How to print an image through Adobe Photoshop

Required supplies:

  • Photos previously taken (high-res files)

  • Notebook and pen

  • USB or hard drive formatted to exFat if working on both Mac and Windows computers

  • Optional: Students may bring their own laptop if they have Adobe Creative Photography Suite (Windows computers provided by Fleisher)
