Special Notes

This is an in-person class which will take place onsite at Fleisher. Please review our COVID-19 community safety policies for current guidelines.

What you will learn:

  • Learn how to mix plaster to be poured into a mold and to be applied directly to a surface

  • Learn to use safety equipment including goggles, dust masks, proper clothing, and gloves where necessary

  • Learn how to use hand-held power tools: use of a drill, jigsaw, sander, and Dremel tools will be covered in class

  • Learn how to use hand tools such as taps and pop rivets to join materials such as plastic and sheet metal to other surfaces

  • Use of mechanical strategies (as opposed to using glue) will be discussed for joining materials and you will learn to evaluate these strategies in the form of group critiques
