Mosaics (Monday)
This is your introduction to the techniques, history, and aesthetic context of decorative and functional mosaics. Among the mosaic materials you may use are stone, ceramic, and glass.
The emphasis will be on design, pattern, construction, and finished presentation. Your instructor will provide lots of useful information about historical and contemporary mosaic works, along with where to source materials and specialized tools, for your specific projects.
Please note: this is a 9-session course. Fleisher will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

Required supplies:
Begin the term with a notebook and the instructor will discuss which tools are best for each project on the first night of class.
The studio fee includes the use of studio materials, glazing, and firing.
