Mosaics: Exploring 3D Substrates

Students will learn theory and explore various options for creating custom three-dimensional substrates in this hands-on course. Instructor will demonstrate substrate creation techniques using layered foam-core board, wire and screen forms, and armature-based shapes. Students will utilize their custom substrates in their own mosaic project. Previous experience working in mosaic or cutting glass/tile is helpful.
