Gouache and Oil Pastels
Learn the basics of painting in gouache, and explore the rich and surprising ways the medium interacts with oil pastels. Draw and paint from observation and imagination, and experiment with the materials while working at your own pace. Participants will also be invited to use invented, spontaneous marks, personal emblems and imaginative subjects to explore compositions that emphasize texture, color, space, and surprising juxtapositions of media and content.
This is an in-person class which will take place in our 4th floor rear studio with strict social distancing protocols and a maximum of 6 students in the space. Students will be required to wear masks for the entire duration of the class. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.
