Urban Sketching (six-session workshop)

Loosen up your drawing style and breathe new creativity into your artmaking. You will be challenged to capture the bustling life of the city through quick sketches in pen, pencil, and watercolor. Each session will take place at some of Philadelphia’s most beloved and iconic landmarks, including 30th Street Station, Reading Terminal Market, and the 9th Street Market. Topics covered in this class include choosing and framing your scene, sketching at a quick pace, conveying detail through modest means, drawing in perspective, and watercolor techniques.
