Watercolor Bootcamp (five-session workshop)

Challenged by painting with watercolors? This medium can be daunting, but through a series of planned exercises, we will endeavor to build a set of useful skills. Classwork will focus on learning to observe, planning your work with intention and developing facility preparing and applying water-color paints. The learning methodology will emphasize progress through instruction and practice exercises, self- and group- evaluation and sharing experiences.

Special Notes
This is an in-person class which will take place in our 3rd floor rear studio with strict social distancing protocols and a maximum of 6 students in the space. Students will be required to wear masks for the entire duration of the class. Please see our COVID-19 community safety policies.

Required supplies:

  • Drawing pencils and eraser

  • Drawing pad or sketchbook

Bring the following if you already have them. If you don’t, consider waiting until after the first class discussion about appropriate equipment.

  • Watercolor set

  • Watercolor paper or block

  • Paint brushes

  • Plastic palette tray for mixing paint

  • Containers for water
