Joyce Mansfield-Harris

Joyce Mansfield-Harris was born in Philadelphia. She was educated in the School District of Philadelphia.

Joyce received her BFA and Teaching Certification from Tyler School of Art. She received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching art for the School District of Philadelphia since 1991. She taught Copper Enameling at the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Recreation’s Summer Art Camp from 1984-1995. She has been instructing Saturday art classes for young artists at Fleisher since 1993.

Joyce has three works of art in the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s permanent collection. She also had work displayed on loan to several U.S. Embassies through the U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies Program, including: Dakar, Senegal; Lusaka, Zambia; Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania; Montevideo, Uruguay; and Abuja, Nigeria.

Her work has themes of love, hope, redemption and God’s presence in everyday life and relationships.
