Education Handbook
To help ensure that Fleisher Art Memorial remains a safe, inclusive, respectful, supportive, and fun environment for all, students, volunteer monitors, faculty, and staff are asked to review the Education Handbook at the start of each term.
Health and Safety Policies
Respiratory Illness
Per CDC guidelines, we ask that if a student is experiencing symptoms associated with a respiratory virus, that they stay off campus to prevent the spread of respiratory illness. These symptoms can include fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, and headache, among others. This is especially important to protect people with factors that increase their risk of severe illness from respiratory viruses.
It is recommended that you wait until your symptoms have cleared and you have not had a fever for at least 24 hours. Still consider taking added precaution over the next 5 days, such as taking additional steps for cleaner air, hygiene, physical distancing, and/or testing when you will be around other people indoors. Please keep in mind that you may still be able to spread the virus that made you sick, even if you are feeling better.
Fleisher’s care for its community members is at the heart of these policies for staff. Accordingly, Fleisher asks that all students and program participants engage in the same level of care for each other. All students are encouraged to mask and support masking in the classroom when asked, to understand and abide by CDC guidelines, and to keep safety for all top of mind in their decision-making. While Fleisher staff and faculty will not collect or distribute student healthcare information, we trust that students will exercise good judgment and empathy for their colleagues in the classroom.
