Every year, Fleisher volunteers and interns contribute thousands of hours in support of our art education, exhibition, and public programs.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in getting involved? Please fill out this form to be added to Fleisher’s volunteer database in order to receive communications about volunteer opportunities. Below are some examples of volunteer opportunities related to annual events at Fleisher.

  • Día de los Muertos – event assistance
    Late October-early November
    Fleisher’s Día de los Muertos celebration is presented in collaboration with La Calaca Flaca, a committee of community partners. The centerpiece of the celebration is the transformation of Fleisher’s Sanctuary, which features an elaborate altar created by local artists.

  • Handmade – event and workshop assistance
    December
    This one-day shopping and artmaking experience in the Sanctuary features craft vendors, workshops, live music, and yummy food.

  • Annual Adult Student Exhibition – artwork intake
    Late January
    Fleisher’s Annual Adult Student Exhibition provides students with the opportunity to show their work in a public gallery. Volunteers help receive artwork from students and assist with other tasks as needed.

  • Print Love-In – event assistance
    Mid-February
    All things printmaking are celebrated during Print Love-In, an annual event where artists of all ages create valentines in Fleisher’s studios. Volunteers who are have experience working with children and knowledge of basic printmaking techniques are welcome.

Internships

Students interested in arranging an internship for college/university credit are welcome to inquire about possible opportunities. High school students completing capstone projects may also reach out to find out if is a possibility for Fleisher to support the project.
