Día de los Muertos – Children’s Fair 2019

Join Fleisher, Puentes de Salud, and Southwark School for our first annual Día de los Muertos Children’s Fair. In the front yard of Southwark School, the fair will offer the broader community the opportunity to learn about Día de los Muertos traditions in a family-centered setting through a series of pop-up artmaking workshops. Join us in looking the part of a Catrina (Skeleton) for the procession by making your very own mask at one of our workshops that day or help us decorate ColorWheels as it rides in the procession for the very first time! Participe junto con Fleisher Art Memorial, Puentes de Salud y Southwark School en la primera Feria Anual de los Niños celebrando el Día de los Muertos. La feria se llevara a cabo en el patio de recreo de la escuela Southwark y ofrecerá a nuestra comunidad la oportunidad de aprender acerca de las tradiciones mexicanas que celebran el Día de los Muertos. En los talleres para toda la familia les enseñaremos a hacer mascaras de las calaveras Catrina para que puedan tomar parte de la procesión. También tendrán la oportunidad de decorar nuestra camioneta móvil de arte, ColorWheels, la cual hace su debut este año en la procesión hacia el altar en el Santuario de Fleisher. ¡Vengan preparados con su disfraces o simplemente vengan! Este evento es completamente gratis.
