Fleisher From a Distance: Self-Portraiture Drawing Demonstration

Meet one of Fleisher’s newest instructors, Inga Kimberly Brown, in this exciting webinar that will explore the genre of self-portraiture through drawing. Inga will discuss her personal approach to drawing a self-portrait and walk you through the step-by-step process. Bring your drawing materials and work along or just sit back and observe.

Inga Kimberly Brown is an oil painter and native of Philadelphia’s West Mount Airy neighborhood who explores myriad ideas about the human experience via spiritual, historical, and contemporary influences combined with the exploration of astral planes using figurative narratives. She received a BFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of fine Arts and then completed a MFA program for painting at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Among the many accolades, Brown is the recipient of the Adelaide Fellowship and the Carolina Granger Award. Her work was featured on the cover of New American Paintings, vol. #129 in 2017, she had her first museum show through the Three American Series at the Arnot Museum. Notable group exhibitions include the Woodmere Museum’s Annual Juried Exhibition, Art + Dialogue at the Irene Cullis Art Gallery, Urgent Care: A Special Care Experience at The Colored Girls Museum, and the Square Pegs exhibition at Parlor Gallery.

This demonstration is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. Advanced registration is required. The tour will be hosted through Zoom, which can be accessed on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app to your device in advance.
