Fleisher From a Distance: Studio tour with Ada Trillo

For the last four years, Ada Trillo has been using the practice of photography to document the immigration journey of folx along the U.S./Mexico border. Join Ada as the Leeway x Fleisher Art Memorial Visual Artist-in-Residence for a virtual culminating studio tour as she shares her photos and experience documenting the injustices of the failed immigration policies under the current administration. In addition, Ada will highlight the contributions that immigrants from South and Central America have made in the U.S. – as well as photographs from recent protests against racial injustice in Philadelphia.

Attendees will get an in-depth look at Ada’s work spanning from 2018 through 2020 and engage in a conversation about immigrant justice and consensual engagement in photographic documentation.

This studio tour is open to the public but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. Advanced registration is required.
