Public Lecture: The Life and Work of Marian Anderson

Please join us for a public lecture in the Sanctuary by Jillian Patricia Pirtle, CEO of the Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society. The lecture will focus on Marian Anderson’s life and work, also highlighting the museum’s collection of gowns. Several of Anderson’s gowns will also be onsite during the event for public viewing.

This lecture is part of our free public programming related to Marian Anderson: Exploring the Gown, a tuition-free fall course being offered in collaboration with the Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society and Opera Philadelphia.
