Remote Control and Teen Lounge Film Screening

Join us for a screening of student made films created through our Remote Control and Teen Lounge programs.

Remote Control is Fleisher’s free filmmaking workshop for students ages 12 to 18, where participants learn the basic skills of narrative filmmaking. Led by filmmaker Jennica Carmona, students learned how to create an original short film incorporating their own experiences and writing, gaining hands-on experience over the course of six weeks

Teen Lounge is Fleisher’s free, drop-in afterschool program for students ages 13-19 focused on visual arts. Throughout the month of April, Teen Lounge students created short experimental 16mm films with teaching artist, Maya Shengold. Using a variety of cameraless direct animation techniques, teens painted, scratched, drew, and collaged directly onto their 16mm film stock.

Remote Control is supported by a grant from the Forman Family Fund of The Philadelphia Foundation.
