Fleisher Art Memorial Welcomes David Wietlisbach to Board of Directors
Fleisher is pleased to welcome David Wietlisbach to its Board of Directors. David currently serves as a Portfolio Manager at The Haverford Trust Company, where he manages investment portfolios for individuals, institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
“David brings a strong background in finance, a deep commitment to educational equity, and a passion for expanding access to arts and culture across Philadelphia,” said Monica Zimmerman, Fleisher’s Executive Director. “With financial expertise, nonprofit leadership experience, and commitment to equitable access, David will help support Fleisher’s continued growth and impact as the organization works to increase access to the arts.”
As he begins his board service, David is energized by Fleisher’s mission and the role it plays in the city’s cultural and community life.
“As a proud native Philadelphian and arts enthusiast, I am particularly excited to seek out opportunities to advance arts and culture initiatives for marginalized communities in the area,” said Wietlisbach. “As I’ve gotten to know Fleisher, I’ve found a strong alignment between my values and its mission. I’m honored to bring my background and perspective to help advance Fleisher’s work and ensure that art and community remain accessible to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic background.”
Prior to joining Haverford Trust, David worked in New York City as an investment banker in Mergers & Acquisitions with Evercore, advising clients across the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors. His experience across the financial services industry also includes corporate finance roles with Macy’s in Cincinnati.
Beyond his professional work, David has consistently dedicated his time and expertise to organizations that expand opportunity for young people and strengthen communities. He currently serves on the boards of Philadelphia Montessori Charter School and Cristo Rey High School in North Philadelphia, supporting initiatives that improve educational access for students from underserved communities. His nonprofit leadership also includes service with ArtsWave and United Way in Cincinnati.
David earned his B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from Xavier University’s Williams College of Business and his MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. A Philadelphia area native, he now lives in the West Washington Square neighborhood with his partner.
