How to Register
For most classes and workshops, Fleisher accepts registrations on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended. Waiting lists are established once a class fills, and applicants will be contacted if spaces become available. The best way to register is online, but we are also able to process registrations over the phone (215-922-3456) or in-person at our front desk.

Admission to Fleisher’s tuition-free Saturday Young Artists Program for children and youth ages 5 – 18 is by lottery only. Learn more and enter the lottery.
Tuitions and Fees
Fleisher is proud to offer transparent pricing structures. Some of the costs associated with our programs & their uses include:
- Tuition: can vary depending on the length of the class and covers the salary of the instructor & administrative costs.
- Studio Fees: can vary depending on the class medium, and are used to cover demonstration materials, shared supplies, tools, equipment, and infrastructure costs.
- Model Fees: vary depending on whether and for how many sessions a figure model is employed and are used to cover the salary of the model.
Unless you are applying for tuition assistance, payment of all tuition and fees associated with a class are due in full at the time of registration. To find out the cost of a particular class, check out our course listings.
Tuition-Free Classes
Several of Fleisher’s core classes are offered as tuition-free workshops. While these courses are tuition-free, there may be studio or model fees associated with them. In order to participate in a tuition-free class, students must adhere to the following policies:
- Be a current Fleisher member.
- Attend the first two classes of each session. If you cannot attend either the first or second class, please contact Fleisher’s registrar at registration@fleisher.org in advance of the start of the term to hold your spot.
- Registrations for tuition-free classes are limited to two per student per term. Free classes are designed to be introductory and should not be taken more than twice in succession.
Cancellations
Fleisher reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment or instructor availability. In the event that Fleisher cancels a class or workshop, registrants will receive full refunds for all related fees paid.
In the case that an individual tuition-bearing session of a class is canceled, Fleisher will make every effort to inform affected students via email and schedule a make-up session. There are no make-up sessions for tuition-free classes.
Classes missed by individual students are not eligible for reimbursement. Fleisher cannot prorate courses for late registration, withdrawals or missed classes.
Planned Closures
Fleisher is closed and classes are not in session on the following annual holidays:
- Labor Day
- Rosh Hashanah
- Yom Kippur
- Indigenous People’s Day
- MLK Jr. Day
- President’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
Students who miss a tuition-bearing class for religious or cultural observations on days when class is in session are eligible to receive a drop-in open studio session. The open studio session must be in the same studio as the class (e.g., ceramics, jewelry, etc.). Please call or email our Visitor Services team to arrange a drop-in: 215-922-3456 ext. 300, info@fleisher.org.
For online classes, students should inform their instructor (or Fleisher staff) with at least 24 hours’ notice if they will miss class for religious or cultural observance so that the instructor can record the session and provide the student(s) with a link to the recording.

Tuition Assistance
To ensure that Fleisher’s programs remain as affordable as possible, we offer tuition assistance each term so that everyone can join our creative community. Tuition assistance is available to anyone who needs it and no documentation is required. Current forms for both adult and youth programs can be found here.
Tuition Assistance Policies
Fleisher reserves the right to award Tuition Assistance at its discretion.
If you are applying for tuition assistance, you do not need to enroll online. The Tuition Assistance application will be your registration form.
For adult students, tuition assistance is limited to one class per student per term. However, we request that you enter three course choices in case we cannot provide you with assistance for a particular class.
For summer camp students ages 5-12, tuition assistance is limited to one week of full-day sessions each summer. Students ages 13-18 can apply for one two-week session, which can include morning or afternoon (half-day) sessions, or both for a full-day schedule. We request that all families select two options in case we cannot provide you with assistance for a particular week.
Tuition Assistance only covers class tuition. Applicants are expected to pay any related material, studio, or model fees. Do not pay any fees until you have been contacted about TA acceptance.
Students with an open balance on their account are not eligible for Tuition Assistance.
Frequently Asked Questions – Tuition Assistance
Where can I find the studio and/or model fees associated with a Fleisher class?
Studio and model fees for classes are available here.
If I’m requesting tuition assistance for a class, do I still need to register?
If you apply for tuition assistance, your form serves as your registration form. Please do not register online, as tuition assistance cannot be awarded retroactively. If you pay out-of-pocket for a class, your request for assistance for that class will be voided.
Is tuition assistance available for youth programs at Fleisher?
Tuition assistance is available for adult programs and summer camp. Since our Saturday Young Artists Program is low-cost, tuition assistance can only be applied to our summer camps.
What happens after I submit my tuition assistance form?
Once we process your form, you’ll receive an email confirmation that we have received your form. If you do not receive confirmation within ten days of the time we received your form, please feel free to contact us to make sure your form has been processed.
Applications are considered and approved on a rolling basis. If you are approved for assistance, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log in to your account to see your registration and pay your balance. You must pay your balance by the payment deadline, or your application will be canceled, and you will be withdrawn from class. If you are unable to make the payment, please contact us to see if arrangements can be made.
What if my schedule changes and I can no longer take a class?
If you are not able to make any of the classes you listed on your form, or no longer wish to take a class at Fleisher, you may withdraw your application by emailing tuitionassistance@fleisher.org.
Why was my request for tuition assistance waitlisted?
Generally, a request is waitlisted because there are no more funds available. In other cases, the class you selected is no longer available. If this is not the case, there might be an open balance on your account from a previous term which must be addressed. Please contact us for more information.
If you have any questions about tuition assistance, please contact tuitionassistance@fleisher.org.
