Fleisher From a Distance: Studio Visit with Henry Bermudez

Join us for an exciting tour of faculty member Henry Bermudez’s studio. You may have seen Henry’s work at his recent solo show, Wilderness in Mind, at Taller Puertorriqueño before it was cut short by the pandemic. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Henry’s process, his artwork, and the check out the space where he makes his beautiful pieces come to life.

Henry was born in Venezuela and is now a Philadelphia-based artist. He attended the national schools of art in both Venezuela and Mexico and studied at New York’s Art Students League and in Rome. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the United States. Major museum collections include the museums of contemporary art in Caracas, Maracaibo, Merida, and Maracay in Venezuela, as well as others. He was selected to be the Venezuelan representative for the 1986 Venice Biennale and has been the subject of numerous articles. His work has been included in many exhibition catalogs, including the X International Print and Drawing Exhibition of China, as well as in books on the subject of Venezuelan art.

This visit is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. Advanced registration is required. The tour will be hosted through Zoom, which can be accessed on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app to your device in advance. You will receive a URL to join the demonstration after you complete the registration process.
