Fleisher From a Distance: Monoprinting Demonstration
Join us for a demonstration of monoprinting with Dianne Hricko. We’ll discuss the process and materials Dianne uses in her own work and get a sneak peek of her studio and recent artworks.
Dianne Koppisch Hricko is a printmaker/painter currently working with dyes on fabrics and paper. She employs deconstructed silk screening, direct painting, discharge, and shibori to produce both yardage and images. She exploits the layered transparency possible in this medium building rich and ambiguous surface. Color has always been a driving force in her work. Dianne maintains a studio in the Crane Arts building, lives in Philadelphia with the printmaker Richard Hricko and also teaches at the University of the Arts. She is delighted to being putting her 35+ years of teaching art in public schools into her own work.
This demonstration is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants. Advanced registration is required. The tour will be hosted through Zoom, which can be accessed on desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile devices. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app to your device in advance. You will receive a URL to join the demonstration after you complete the registration process.
