Fleisher From a Distance: Studio Visit with Debbie Lerman
Join us for an exciting studio tour with photographer and mixed media artist Debbie Lerman. Debbie graduated with a degree in English from Harvard in 1991, and worked as a freelance writer for 25 years. She has been a working artist and photographer since 2009. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with juried shows and awards including the 2016 Berlin Foto Biennale, a 2017 Fleisher Wind Challenge Exhibition, 2018 Klompching Gallery Summer FRESH Show, and 2019 Vox Populi Juried Exhibition. Debbie’s practice combines traditionally marginalized arts and crafts with modern digital techniques to interrogate social power structures. She is inspired by the work of the Patterns and Decorations feminists of the 1970s.
