Pop Arts: Whimsical Watercolors (grades 3-5)

This course will be focusing on how we can create watercolor mythological masterpieces using simple layering techniques. We will practice both wet and dry watercolor and use household items to transform the texture. Students are encouraged to bring with them a story inspired by mythology, folklore, or their imagination.

Pencil
Empty squirt bottle
Salt
Brushes: extra small, small, and medium
Paper towels

Pop Arts are Fleisher’s new online Saturday workshops, featuring fun and engaging art-making experiences for young artists in grades K-12. Carefully designed by our talented teaching artists, each Pop Arts workshop runs for 90 minutes. Young artists and their families are encouraged to sign up for as many workshops as they want! Each workshop is offered with a suggested donation of $10-$15. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Pop Arts will be hosted on Zoom, and you will receive a link to join once you complete your registration.
