Julia Levitina

Julia Levitina creates powerful and elegant figurative and animal sculpture in bronze that aims to capture extraordinary in the ordinary. Her work strives to entice the feeling of awe as its creator searches for wisdom by way of wonder. Levitina makes her own clay, molds, waxes, and personally performs all the subsequent casting and finishing of her bronzes in her studio. She has won awards, has taught workshops, and has held solo and group exhibitions of her sculpture and drawings in the United States, Italy, and France. Levitina’s bronzes can be found in various private and public collections bi-continentally. Julia Levitina is a recipient of the prestigious Alex J. Ettl Grant from the National Sculpture Society. She has recently completed and installed an over-life-size public commission in Washington, D.C.
