About Indonesian Festival
Overview
Fleisher Art Memorial has teamed up once again with Gapura to present “The Island Country,” Philadelphia’s 4th Annual Indonesian Festival. The free, outdoor event is the culmination of a month-long series of programs presented by Gapura, the Indonesian Community Center in Philadelphia. Each summer, Fleisher and Gapura share space and resources to bring this series of community engagement programs to life, culminating in an outdoor festival hosted at Fleisher. Through this ongoing partnership, Fleisher creates meaningful opportunities to preserve, celebrate, and share Indonesian cultural life and traditions alongside Gapura and Modero & Company, an Indonesian dance troupe.
