Pop Arts: Geometric Stencil Design (grades 9-12)

Mike Storm will share a process that he has been developing for the past few years. Using a grid and hand-cut stencils, we will create elaborate geometric designs. Mike likes to make his designs colorful and symmetrical. Yours can look any way you like.

Required supplies:
10×10 or larger canvas (preferred) or paper
Pencil, sharpener, eraser
Ruler
Permanent fine point pen (sharpie works great)
Scissors
A small stack of card stock or other thick paper
Acrylic paints and small brushes (for canvas) or markers (for paper)

Pop Arts are Fleisher’s new online Saturday workshops, featuring fun and engaging art-making experiences for young artists in grades K-12. Carefully designed by our talented teaching artists, each Pop Arts workshop runs for 90 minutes. Young artists and their families are encouraged to sign up for as many workshops as they want! Each workshop is offered with a suggested donation of $10-$15. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Pop Arts will be hosted on Zoom, and you will receive a link to join once you complete your registration.
